Community Governance Review
Tower Hamlets will spend the next year deciding what to do. This process is called a ‘Community Governance Review’ and it must be completed within twelve months.
They are consulting local people about their views on our proposal. They want local people from the area affected by the proposal to get in touch and tell them what they think.
We need as many people as possible to take part in the consultation and say YES to better local government.
This first phase of public consultation begins on 8th October and ends on 31 December 2018.
You will be asked the following questions:
Do you support the proposal to create a parish council (‘Town Council’) for the Spitalfields area? YES / NO. Please give the reasons for your response
Do you support the proposed boundaries for the parish council (‘Town Council’) (see map here) YES / NO. Please give the reasons for your response
If a parish is created, the petitioners propose it is called ‘Spitalfields Town Council’. What do you think?
If a parish is created, the petitioners propose it is divided into at least three electoral wards. What do you think?
It would help us most if you answered YES to all these questions.
If you have changed your mind and want to do the consultation again, you can.
